I mean,
How much cooler does it get?
Long slender tube,
Tan in the mouth,
White in the air,
Gray in the atmosphere,
Black on the inside.
It’s human.
Super. Human.
But not very humane.
Shortness of breath,
Rot in the teeth,
Tar in the lungs,
Yellow in the fingertips,
Black on the inside.
You’re so pretty in pictures
With a cig on your lips
Like a badge of courage plastered on your face.
Bleeding out your secrets,
Breathing out your very soul,
Into me.
